HQ16 Quilting Machine
During the 2006/2007 season, the Handi-Quilter Company in Bountiful, Utah, loaned Quilters 2 an HQ16 quilting machine.  The purpose of the loan was to facilitate the production of charity quilts. The machine is now owned by Quilters 2.  We have continued to use the machine primarily to produce charity quilts.
The machine is capable of quilting anything from placemat size to king bed size items. Stitch patterns can be produced using either free hand design, or pre-designed patterns using pantographs or groovy boards.  There are also rulers that can help achieving many designs.
Quilters 2 provides instructions to interested members to learn how to use the Handi-Quilter machine. Once a person has completed a training course for using the machine, they are allowed to begin quilting charity quilts.
The rules of machine use are ever evolving as dictated by experience and results. The charities we serve are ever evolving as well.  We serve 24-36 charities any given year. Donations can be made directly to Quilters 2 to help maintain the Handi-Quilter and provide materials for all this charity work being done by these capable ladies!
